What makes TurboCoag® better than other EC units on the market? Two major issues have plagued electrocoagulation technology and limited its deployment: anode passivation and sludge build-up. These issues have made EC units prone to system failure by clogging up with flocculant and either cease functioning altogether or require an untenable amount of labor and cleaning. Does TurboCoag® need to be cleaned? TurboCoag® is unique among its competitors. It is the only self-cleaning EC unit on the market. Its patented rotational design ensures the floc is kept in suspension until the treated water is sent to a holding tank, the clean water is then decanted, and the sludge removed.
How does TurboCoag® deal with a potential disparity between the flow rate of the water coming into the system, and the water’s flow rate out of the system? TurboCoag® has no requirements for water flow. The flow rate of the water inside the reactor is totally independent of the water flow outside. This guarantees that sludge build-up is prevented inside the reactor and minimizes maintenance requirements.
How convenient is TurboCoag® for remote projects or projects without a large labor force? Very convenient! After install, TurboCoag® only requires maintenance approximately every 30 days depending on the dose required to treat contaminated water. Replacement of sacrificial anodes is easy to do and doesn’t require skilled laborers.
